It is not typical for me to take a vacation much less a winter one. However, last year I was the high bidder for a vacation at a charity event and we decided February was a good time to get away. We are staying at the La Quinta Resort and Spa.
Among other activities they have 5 golf courses. I called ahead and club rentals were $75. This is actually cheaper than it would cost to bring my clubs on the plane. I made a tee time here. The clubs were nice callaways and with the rental you got a small ball bag with 6 balls. It was very nice.

In an effort to get my monies worth I made sure I saw the WHOLE course..... It was a fun day now I don't want to wait until April or May to play again at home.
