At some point if you are not careful you reach a point where you can't leave. You are stuck their until the end. I watch and see people leave some early, others well timed. Last night I missed my opportunity. We reached the point where the next person to leave would end the party as everyone would leave together.
No one wanted to be that person. Finally, over an hour later I ended it.
